Shizenkan University (hereinafter referred to as “the University”) establishes the following privacy policy and promotes the protection of privacy.
Management of Personal Information
The University maintains the personal information we receive in an accurate and up-to-date state, implements security measures to prevent unauthorized access, loss, damage, alteration, leakage, etc. of personal information, and exercises strict management of personal information.
Purpose of Use of Personal Information
The personal information entrusted to us will be used for the following purposes, except as required by law:
(1) Operation of educational, awareness-raising, and information dissemination activities conducted by the University in which the individual participates
(2) Review and analysis to improve the usage and operations of the above-mentioned educational, awareness-raising, and information dissemination activities
(3) Provide information about other educational, awareness-raising, and information dissemination activities than the one mentioned in Clause 1
Joint Use of Information
The University will jointly use the personal information entrusted to us with Shizenkan EDX LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of the University. The University applies the same regulations and privacy policies as the University to the joint user regarding the handling of personal information and ensures thorough and appropriate management.
Disclosure and Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
Except as required by law, the University will not provide personal information entrusted to us to third parties without the consent of the individual. However, the University may outsource all or part of its operations to external parties. Even in such cases, we will thoroughly manage contractors to ensure that there is no leakage, outflow, or unauthorized use of personal information being handled.
Confirmation, Correction, and Deletion of Personal Information
When a request is made by an individual for confirmation, correction, deletion, suspension of use, etc. of their personal information, the University will respond promptly within a reasonable scope.
Compliance with Laws and Regulations and Review
The University complies with applicable Japanese laws and other regulations regarding personal information held, appropriately reviews the content of this policy, and strives for its improvement.
