On August 20, 2024, Shizenkan University proudly welcomed the MBA Class of 2026 at a special Inauguration Ceremony held on the Nihonbashi campus. The event was attended by new students, faculty members, and distinguished guests, marking the beginning of an exciting academic journey.

The ceremony opened with a warm welcome address from the University President and Chair, Prof. Tomo Noda, who introduced the philosophy behind Shizenkan’s name, its founding spirit, and also emphasized Shizenkan’s challenge to overcome the antinomies that we are facing at this critical juncture of history, namely, Business x Society/Planet, Innovation x Humanity, and West x Asia. Following this, the Vice-President and Dean of Shizenkan, Prof. Seiichi Ohtaki delivered a speech highlighting the unique educational approach of the university and the critical role that Shizenkan students will play in shaping the future of business and society.

Ms. Sandra Wu, Chair of the Board of Councilors, and Board Member of the UN Global Compact Board, then took the stage, offering an inspiring speech, encouraging students to fully embrace the transformative experience that lies ahead.

After these powerful addresses, each member of the incoming class delivered a brief, but memorable introductory speech. The students took this opportunity to share their aspirations and the unique perspectives they bring to the Shizenkan community.

The Inauguration Ceremony set a tone of ambition and camaraderie, as the MBA Class of 2026 begins their studies at Shizenkan University. The faculty and administration are eager to support these future leaders as they embark on their journey toward making a lasting impact in the world.
