Shizenkan’s Center for Impact Economy regularly hosts Impact Nights, a series of semi-closed events that bring together impact entrepreneurs, government and financial leaders, and anyone interested in creating social impact for an informal discussion and knowledge sharing.

Taizo Otsuka (Director of Ame Kaze Taiyo, Ltd.)

On September 9, the fourth event welcomed Mr. Taizo Otsuka, director of Ame Kaze Taiyo, Ltd. (株式会社雨風太陽), a company that started as an NPO in 2013 and went public on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Growth Market in 2023. The company seeks to make regions sustainable by harnessing the energy of expanding cities and developing projects that connect urban and rural areas.

Mr. Otsuka spoke about his rich life experiences, including his meeting with Hiroyuki Takahashi, President of Ame Kaze Taiyo, Ltd., the history of the company’s growth and why it went public, and shared many stories that have not been told in the media.

Mr. Otsuka’s keynote speech was followed by a networking session and a discussion among all participants, moderated by Prof. Uo, Director of the Center.
