On Sunday, October 27, Shizenkan proudly participated in the 51st Nihonbashi-Kyobashi Festival, an annual event held since 1972. The festival’s main highlight, a parade stretching approximately two kilometers, began on Chuo Street and featured a vibrant array of participants. Leading the procession were representatives from local government and businesses, followed by various professional groups from across Japan showcasing their performances.
Shizenkan students from both Japanese and English classes joined the parade, some dressed in traditional outfits to celebrate the diversity and inclusivity of our campus. Covered in dark blue Japanese hanten jackets featuring the Shizenkan logo, our group embodied a spirit of community and tradition. For some international students, this was their first experience participating in local cultural activities, and their enthusiasm brought an uplifting energy to the audience.
As a “glocal” institution committed to leadership education, Shizenkan values collaboration with the local community, emphasizing our dedication to fostering strong, meaningful connections.
