Impact Night is a semi-closed, dialogue-based session that aims to create meaningful conversations at the intersection of diverse sectors and fields.

Inspired by conversations with leaders in impact business, investment, philanthropy and ecosystem building, this gathering offers a unique space for connection and collaboration.

 

To foster a gathering of individuals committed to creating impact, this event will be a “semi-closed” space, with participants recruited through a referral system from past attendees and partner organizations. As such, this event is not publicly listed on the web or social media.

 

We are honored to welcome Ms. Nguyen Thi Van, the founder of Imagtor, an inclusive business employing and supporting people with disabilities in Vietnam and Mr. Junto Ohki, the founding CEO of ShuR Co.Ltd,a leading Japanese startup focusing on services for the hearing impaired using ICT technology

 

Van is widely recognized as a changemaker who, despite living with significant disabilities, leads an impact-driven business that supports people with disabilities and serves as a powerful role model for inclusive leadership and Junto is a trailblazing social innovator who has served on multiple government advisory bodies and leads the Japanese Association for an Inclusive Society. He became East Asia’s first Ashoka Fellow, joined the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers, and earned a spot on Forbes 30 Under 30.

 

This will be an in-person event, with light snacks and wine provided. Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy conversation and build trust based networks with fellow participants.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Van

Van is also the founder of Imagtor, an inclusive business employing and supporting people with disabilities. She is also Co-founder and Chairwoman of Will to Live Social Enterprise in Vietnam, a disability-led organization providing free IT and digital skills training and job support for people with disabilities. Under her leadership, Will to Live has empowered over 2.000 individuals with disabilities to secure sustainable employment.

 

Mr. Junto Ohki

Junto started ShuR Group when he was a sophomore student at Keio University, 21 years old in 2008. ShuR is a Social Enterprise which helps Deaf people with IT. ShuR offers an interpretation service via video chat (VRS), and the cloud-source online sign language dictionary.
Junto became Kanagawa’s advisory bodies for SME activation members, Gunma’s advisory bodies for consumers’ affairs members, and representative for the Japanese Association for an Inclusive Society in 2011. In 2012, Junto was selected as the first Ashoka Fellow in East Asia, had a speech at TEDxTokyo, joined Global Shaper Community, World Economic Forum, and was selected as Forbes 30under30 2013.

Mr.Yoshitaka Tabuchi

Co-founder, Zebras and Company Inc. and Co-lead, Tokyo Zebras Unite. After leaving Nissho Iwai Corporation (now Sojitz Corporation), Yoshi has been involved in domestic and international impact investing at LGT Venture Philanthropy (an impact investment institution founded by the princely family of Liechtenstein), Social Investment Partners, Social Innovation and Investment Foundation, and others. He specializes in business conceptualization, management support, and overseas partner formation based on his global experience and industrial-academic network. Yoshi is also the East Asia Jury President of The Cartier Women’s Initiative.
