Tokyo, August 23. Eighty-one new enrollees have embarked on their journey as the 8th cohort begins. This class includes students from 15 countries, representing diverse academic and professional backgrounds. 

The inauguration ceremony opened with a welcome address from Shizenkan’s founder, Prof. Tomo Noda,  who spoke about the importance of leadership rooted in values and the responsibility of business in shaping society. Following this, each student introduced themselves to the cohort through a set of self-chosen keywords. This was an icebreaker that not only encouraged self-reflection but also gave classmates a first impression into the personalities, aspirations, and passions that will define this group. This interactive introduction marked the first step in building the bonds and trust that will carry the class through their twenty-month journey together. The room was filled with curiosity and laughter, and anticipation as students discovered shared interests and unique perspectives, setting the tone for a collaborative learning environment.

As we welcome the 8th cohort into the Shizenkan community, we look forward to witnessing their growth and the contributions they will make both within and beyond the university. We are confident that this group will continue the tradition of reimagining leadership and driving positive impact in business and society.
